ZIMMERMAN

is a New York City based actor, a Southerner by birth, a Clown, and a cat owner. 

RECENT: now repped by HANNS WOLTERS INTERNATIONAL!

Film: starred in a Sacred Heart MFA short film, THE MAN IN THE FRAME, cast in short film SEVENTY-FOUR about the sinking of the Frank E. Evans (filming this June.)

Theater: understudy for two principal roles in ARMS IN THE MAN Off-Broadway with Gingold Theatrical Group, played Charles Bingley in MISS BENNET: CHRISTMAS AT PEMBERLEY at Shadowland Stages in Ellenville, NY.

Matthew received his BFA in Acting from Marymount Manhattan College, and spent his undergraduate summers performing Shakespeare with the George Washington Foundation in Fredericksburg, Virginia. 

He has twice visited the Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, D.C. and was part of the company of the “Best of Fringe” THE TRIAL OF MRS. SURRATT

He co-produced and directed the theater-mockumentary web series END OF DAY. In 2019, he spent a full season with the Alabama Shakespeare Festival as an Acting Fellow.

Matthew has trained extensively in Clown and physical theater, studying with Christopher Bayes, Richard Crawford, Virginia Scott, and more!

He received his MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College in May of 2023.
